REGIONAL WATER PLANNING COUNCIL MEETING

TO ALL INTERESTED PERSONS AND PARTIES:

The Altamaha Regional Water Planning Council will hold its next meeting

on Thursday, May 10, 2018 in Jesup, GA

The Council’s meeting is being held in conjunction with a Leadership Wayne County event, and will be focused on the Altamaha River and its watershed. The first portion of the meeting will be held at the Jaycee Landing, and the afternoon portion will be held at the Rayonier Advanced Materials building.  The agenda of the meeting, noting both meeting locations, is included below.  A map of the meeting locations is attached.

9:45 – 10:00 a.m.        Registration (meet at Jaycee Landing)

  10:00 – 11:00 a.m.      Welcome and Introductions, followed by a boat tour focusing on the history of the                                                 Altamaha River (seating is limited and priority will be given to Council Members)

11:00 – 11:30 a.m.      Discussion of the Altamaha River - Lindsay Thomas

11:30 – 11:45 a.m.      Transfer to Rayonier Advanced Materials Building

11:45 – 1:00 p.m.        Lunch and Presentation from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources on the                                            Altamaha River and its Watershed

1:00 – 2:00 p.m.          Altamaha Regional Water Planning Council Business Meeting

2:00 p.m.                     Adjourn

Council Meeting Locations:

1. Jaycee Landing Road is located off of US-301 N/US-84 across from Rayonier Advanced Materials (RYAM) Facility; follow Jaycee Landing Rd until the end where it meets the river.

2.RYAM building is located at 4474 Savannah Hwy (US-84), Jesup, GA 31545.
