Regional Water Planning Webinar Series
EPD and Georgia Water Planning and Policy Center are coordinating a series of webinars to offer Council members an opportunity to learn about emerging water topics and expand their information base for regional water planning. Webinars will share information on topics of common interest for the councils. Members from all 10 regional water planning councils are invited and encouraged to attend. The webinars are being recorded for future viewing by interested Council members.

May 8, 2025: Population Projections for Regional Water Planning Webinar
The second webinar for Council members was held on May 8, and its focus was Population Projections for Regional Water Planning. The featured speaker was Taylor Hafley of the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at University of Georgia. He discussed statewide demographic trends and methods used in developing the Institute's population projections, which provide the basis for water and wastewater forecasts in regional water planning.
