State Water Council Approves Updates to State Water Plan
The State Water Council approved updates to Section 14 of the State Water Plan during their meeting on December 9, 2025. A redline version of the updates, along with the agenda and slides from the meeting, are posted below.
The Environmental Protection Division (EPD), on behalf of the State Water Council, provided the proposed updates to the public and held several public and stakeholder meetings to receive input. Based on the input received, EPD prepared
responses
to public comments
and presented those to the State Water Council for their consideration.

Updates to State Water Plan
Following the State Water Council's approval of the updates, the updates will be submitted to the legislature during the upcoming legislative session. To become official, the updated State Water Plan must be passed through a Joint Resolution by the legislature and signed by the Governor.
